Supply Lists

BYOD - Bring Your Own Device

Due to the nature of learning for the foreseeable future and to limit the possible spread of illness, we recommend each student have a personal device. As a school, we do not have the capacity to supply 1-to-1 computing to students. We are asking those parents who are able to provide a Chromebook for the year. Those families who are unable to supply one, we will do our best to provide one from the school.

For a device, we recommend a Chromebook. They are relatively inexpensive and work seamlessly with the Google environment used by all St. Albert Public Schools. Purchasing a new Chromebook gives you a device that should last through to the conclusion of high school. Mac/Windows laptops are acceptable but are expensive and have increased security risks. Tablets are not robust enough for our educational purposes. There are a number of options and brands available for Chromebooks such as Acer, Asus and Lenovo to name a few.
